The 5.2 Project is a call to simplicity.

Defining of facts.

It is relevant application in the form of action.

The 5.2 Project is an invitation for those who (1.) are not followers of Jesus Christ.

It is a reminder to go back to the basics.

You are invited to see how we KNOW that God is real. We’re all just people. Life is hard… that’s for sure. Yet God does save, does lead, does forgive, does love.  Don’t believe it? That’s ok… He loves you anyway. Aren’t you at all curious?  Do you want to KNOW there is a God?

 Just try it and see.

The Bible tells us the story of a little boy who went to see Jesus. He wasn’t a committed believer, not a well-thought out philosopher, not a committed person. He was simply… curious. All he did was hear that this man… just maybe… was the son of God. He decided to see for Himself. Not to depend on the opinions of others but was willing to investigate for himself...and then invest what he had at that moment.

He wanted to see a miracle.

Don’t you?

Sometimes we as believers really mess things up. We’re all just people after all. The project is not about people being perfect. It’s about a perfect God who loves, saves, and forgives imperfect people. I know it’s true… because He saved me.  Because He is real. He is undeniable. And He is wonderful. He has made Himself known… and continues to make Himself know. Do you want to see?

The 5.2 Project is also (2.)for those who are followers of God.

It is a call to simplicity.

Defining of facts… calling to action.

Our God of the Bible is a great and mighty King. Miracle worker. Savior God.

And He hasn’t changed.

The 5.2 Project is a reminder that all we have to do is look and see what He’s asked us to offer. He'll do all the rest, but we get to see His power, His provision, and His miracles right here and now. This is what He wants from every one of us; to know He can!

Jesus said we go the Scriptures… but we don’t know Him (John 5:39-40).

We follow for the miraclesbut we don’t know Him (John 6:2).

We want to be a part of something greatbut we don’t know Him (John 6:15).

Jesus said… the work is to believe (John 6:28-29). Every work that we are asked to do as believers… is to start and end with belief. Why? Because belief that is not practiced is not belief at all. Belief in the One True God who has a plan; belief in the Almighty Sovereign King. Do you have it? How can we believe when we’re trying to do it through our own ideas, strength, and passions?

Please don’t live your life following Him without knowing Him. The work is to believe.

To believe that He is enough.

And  How do we know Him? By reading the Bible. Because it is the Word of God.

This website is not for us to be… or to assume the word of God.  Knowing God requires seeking Him through His word. Is has already been established and is complete.

“Then how is it possible to go to the Scriptures and not to know God?” you may ask, as referenced above. Because Jesus said… the work is to believe. To act on what He says. To read with prayer. To read while bringing your life into obedience to what you are reading.

As people created by God, we cannot expect more of God until we are striving to live our lives as He has already shown us and we cannot do that without going into His word. DAILY – and DOING something about it.  That is why we must go back to our foundation – to God – through His word - and on our knees – and Know what we know, then live what we know, and share what we know. Do NOT share more than you know. This site is exclusively for a back to the basics study and acknowledgement of our Great God. Then our part… our responsibility… and our privilege is to share what we know and to thank Him for it.

The time for idle knowledge is past. Know is a verb.

Circumstances are not our responsibility… and not often within our control.

Knowing God is our responsibility and is always within our control, yet seldom within our comfort level. We are called to walk by faith, not by sight. But He is real. He is God. We are called to be in His presence… so that we bring others into it as well. So that they know that we have been with God.

The 5.2 Project is knowing what you know… make knowledge a verb. Choose today whom you will serve: The circumstances that yes, are so very real? Or the character of the God who holds your circumstances in His strong and capable hands. Choose.

Live what you know. Add your “and so…” to what you know. Just one step at a time. Fix your eyes on Jesus and take one step. Every day. As a believer, you are a child of a King. Does it show? Or do others only know you are blessed. Do you simply bear His name… or do you study the plans, do you wear His banner, do you help those around you, and do you live in His power? Live what you know.

Share what you know. Acknowledge who He is. Others need to know what you have seen. YOU need to share what you have seen. Philemon 6 says “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.” Pray with thanksgiving. SAY what you know… it’s a great way to make knowledge a verb… pray always with thanksgiving for who the God is that you are entrusting your needs to. He is the One who knows your needs… who knows your circumstances. It is His desire that you know HIM… that by so doing you will have true abundant life.

[Know. Live. Share. It’s a reasonable way to worship a Savior. Are you resolved to worship?]

This website is only one simple avenue for The 5.2 Project. The Project is a way of life. The way you define the project in your life is an incredible plan that God WILL unfold for you when you seek Him on your knees. Almost every outlet on this site is a simple way that you can know, live, and share… all at the same time… in the midst of whatever you may be doing at home. Share what He has done. Share what you know about Him. Study His word. Join together with other believers. Be a person of faith… a person of action. A child of The King. A person who's life reflects the light and love of Jesus Christ.

Come with great expectations and join us in the ongoing discovery of true worship.
