Now I KNOW that the Lord saves His anointed; He answers from His holy heaven with the saving power of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and STAND FIRM. Psalm 20:6-8

Good morning!

Well yesterday we decided where we are going to STAND… through our definitions of prosper. Let’s start to plant our feet a little bit, shall we?

The best definition of prosper is found in Psalm 1:1… that’s right you got it: BLESSED.

In His blessedness, we have guidance for circumstances that are beyond our control. We have an owner (planted by streams of living water… we are not a wild tree growing by chance. We are lovingly planted by a constant source of life.) We have all we need to live and to flourish. Prosperity lies in the blessings of the One who [delights in us]! Prosperity means trusting God the creator and designer and standing firm in HIM, staying away from anything that is contrary to Him.

I know, I know, so often it seems like the un-godly… the ones who have hurt us… are the ones who “prosper” (In the world’s eyes) or have things “easy.” We’ll get to that tomorrow… so make sure you come back. Planting our feet today, remember? [Sure don’t want to face the difficult people in our lives without planting our feet in Christ!]

FEET PLANTING TIME:The 5.2 Project is built on the concepts : KNOW what you know, LIVE what you know, SHARE what you know. KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW… means turning knowledge.. into a verb. It means choosing a fact that you know and believe about God… and holding onto it with all your might. It means that you will learn to base your decisions on what you believe about the character of God… and not on your circumstances. Kind of hard to learn at first… but LIFE CHANGING. GUARANTEED. For example… if you KNOW that God is God… shouldn’t you then in direct correlation spend some time on your knees like a person before a King? If you KNOW He has a purpose and a plan for you… and that He has promised to guide your steps, stop before making decisions and ask for His help. Is this starting to make sense???... It’s a concept that has taken awhile to sink in for me.

Plant ‘em again!

For discussion: Look back at the one character of God you choose on Monday. Now, define what it means to “KNOW” that. Any comments, questions, or testimonies about KNOWING the character of God?

It’s a day for application. We’ve already discussed several concepts in a very short amount of time. It’s a day to reassess, review, and make a game plan. That DOESN’T mean you solve the problems of the world today :) It means defining… in your own personal life… how you will “…TAKE HOLD of the hope set before you” Hebrews 6:18-19. The process begins with even just one character trait of God. His character IS the hope that is set before you. Feast yourself on the verses below, there is a lot there. Pray about how you can plant your feet today. Pray about what it means for YOU to know what you know.

In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise [blessed] the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:18-19

STAND....right where you are! This Bible study was a huge blessing in my life as I was able to participate online while continuing my "at home care" of my mother! Each day I was able to draw out what was needed in my own life, and as I was able, I had the opportunity to share online with other participants what God's word was teaching me. The study itself invoked fresh thoughts of ancient scriptures - proving the enduring power and relevance of God's word. I recommend this study to anyone who wants to experience the awesome wonder of a loving God speaking to your heart.
